For the remainder of his life he rendered many services to his countrymen : was a Member of the Governor-General's Legislative Council and of the Public Service Commission : joined the National Congress : and was Vice-President of the Indian Science Association. He was first knighted, and afterwards K.C.I.E. : died July 13, 1899 |
