Body of text  NEIL MELDRUM, born Udny, 22nd August, 1881, son of William M and Margaret Paterson Bruce; educated at Robert Gordon's College, Aberdeen, and University of Aberdeen and Edinburgh; MA (1901); licensed by Presbytery of Edinburgh May 1906; assistant at St. Margaret's, Edinburgh; appointed Colonial chaplain, Meerut, 12th September, 1909; appointed junior chaplain Indian Ecclesiastical Establishment , Madras, April 1911; admitted here 19th April, 1917. Married 29th January, 1913, Mary Johanna Russel, daughter of James Gillan , DD, minister of St. Margaret's, Edinburgh, and has issue - William James Gillan, born 21st March, 1917; Neil Ian Wilson, born 18th October, 1919; Margaret Catherine, born 25th July, 1921.
