Service  Surgeon-Major Hare served at Cabul in 40, at Joolgah and Purwandurra, under General Sale, in the same year. Was in the Garrison of Jellallabad under Sir R. Sale, during the siege. Medal. Marched to Cabul under Sir G. Pollock, held charge of the Generals Staff. Medal. Served in the Burmah Campaign in 52, to 54, in charge of the 1st European Bengal Fusiliers, and re-capture of Pegu. Appointed to the charge of the Burmah Field Hospital. Medal. Served as Surgeon of the 2nd Bengal Fusiliers in 57, throughout the siege of Delhi; also at the action of Badlee-ka-Serai, and the final assault and capture of Delhi, 14th September 57. Medal and Clasp.
