Service  Ensign Hardy served throughout the Burmese War, in 52, 53, with the late 1st European Bengal Fusiliers. Present at therelief of the Garrison of Pegu, on the 14th of December 52, and operations in its vicinity ; accompanied the Martaban Column under General Steel. Medal. Present at the battle of Badlee-ka-Serai, 8th June 57; and in all the subsequent actions under the walls of Delhi. Present at the storm and capture of Delhi, 14th September 57. f Wounded.) Medal and Clasp. Served under Command of Brigadier J. G. Gerrard and Sir Thomas Seaton. Present at the actions of Narnoul, 16th November; Gungeeree, 14th; Puttiallee, 17th; and Mynpooree, 27th December 57. Present at the storm and capture of Lucknow, March 58, and all the subsequent operations in Oude under Sir Hope Grant. Ensigns Commission for services during the Mutiny. 57. Clasp.
