Present with his Regiment at the battle of Badlee-ka-Serai under the Command of Sir Henry Burnard, on the 8th of June 57, and in the operations against the city of Delhi; succeeded to the Command of the Regiment on Colonel Welchman being severely wounded, on the 23rd June 57, in the Subzee Mundee, when he was struck down by a coup-de-soleil. {Since dead).
