Commanded a heavy gun battery in the actions of Mungulwar, Alum Bagh, and first relief of Lucknow under Major-General Sir E Havelock. Was Brigadier of Artillery and Cavalry under Sir Jas. Outram, at Lucknow and Alum Bagh, and commanded the Artillery Division at the latter, during the final operations before Lucknow, under His Excellency Sir C. Campbell, G.C.B., March 58. Medal and 2 Clasps. |
