Service  Captain Carnegie served with the 3rd Irregular Cavalry throughout the Campaign on the Sutlej, including the battle of Ferozeshah, Medal; and subsequent operations against Kot Kangra with his own Regiment. Served in the Punjab with the 1st Company Pioneers. Medal. Passed an examination in Field Engineering; also an examination in the Punjabee language, 10th December 1851.
