CommentThese are summaries of the Services of Service of Madras Civil Servants entering the Service from 1740 to 1858. Evidently, several of them continued to serve beyond this date.

The data are transcribed from the book compiled by Charles Prinsep published by Truebner & Co in 1885.

Summary of Service  1853: Writer. 1854: Student at the College. 1855: Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Rajahmundry. 1856: Acting Head Assistant, Rajahmundry. 1857: Head Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Cuddapah. On medical leave to Europe for 15 months. 1858: Acting Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, Cuddapah. 1862: Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, Kistna, but continuing to act as Sub-Collector at Cuddapah. 1865: On furlough to Europe for 3 years. 1868: Died, in India, 13th November.
