The data are transcribed from the book compiled by Charles Prinsep published by Truebner & Co in 1885.

Summary of Service  1848: Writer. 1849: Student at the College. 1851: Assistant and Collector to Magistrate, Tanjore. 1852: Acting Head Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Tanjore. 1853: Acting Deputy Register, afterwards Acting Head Assistant to the Register to the Court of Sudder and Foujdarry Adawlut. 1854: Head Assistant to the Collector and Magistrate, Masulipatam. 1855: Acting Sub-Judge; Head Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Rajahmundry; afterwards Acting Sub-Judge, Calicut. 1856: Head Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Trichinopoly; Special Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Tanjore; and Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, and Agent to the Governor of Fort St. George, in Vizagapatam. 1857: Sub-Judge, Calicut. 1859: Secretary to the Commission for Inquiring into the System of Judicature in the Madras Presidency; afterwards Acting Civill and Sessions Judge, Tellicherry. 1861: Civil and Session Judge, Tellicherry. 1863: Acting Puisne Judge, afterwards Judge of the High Court of Judicature, Madras. 1868: On medical leave to Europe for 1 year and 8 months. 1870: Resumed Judge of the High Court. 1873: Acting Chief Justice, Madras. 1875: On furlough to Europe; made C.S.I.,31st December. 1877: Retired from service, 29th January. (Annuitant on the Fund.)
