Summary of Service  1844: Writer. 1845: Permitted to pursue his Studies under the Collector of Salem. 1847: Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Madura. 1847: Acting Head Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Madura. 1851: Head Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Madura. 1855: Acting Sub-Judge, Madura; Proceeded to Europe. 1857: Without employ for 5 months. 1858: Acting Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, afterwards Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, Madura. 1859: On medical leave to Europe for 2 years. 1861: Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, Cuddapah; Acting Collector and Magistrate, South Canara. 1862: Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, Kistna. 1863: Acting Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, Coimbatore; on furlough to Europe. 1866: Resigned the service, 16th February, in England. (Invalid Annuitant.)
