Entry  Born Feb. 12, 1827 : son of John Paul, M.D. (Edin.) : educated at Elgin Academy and Aberdeen and Edinburgh Universities : entered the Madras Medical Service, 1850, and rose to be Deputy Surgeon- General : retired, 1874, and was appointed member of the Medical Board at the India Office, 1875.
