James Baikie and Constance Newman Smith; educated at Edinburgh George Watson's College 1915-23, University of Edinburgh and New College 1923-30, MA (Hons History 1927); licensed by Presbytery of Dalkeith 14th September 1930; ordained by same Presbytery for foreign missionary service at Rajputana 14th September 1930. Married 18th December 1931, Florence Fuller, born 1st June 1896, daughter of Rev Robert Thomson Loudon, Cockpen, and has issue, James Robert, born 29th November 1933.
