Body of text  WILLIAM GEORGE AUGUSTUS WRIGHT, born 29th August 1916 at Bombay, son of William George Wright and Eileen Maud Lewis; educated at Bombay Scottish High School 1922-33, University of Bombay 1933-7, BA (1st Class Hons. 1937), University of Edinburgh New College 1937-40, BD (1940); licensed by Presbytery of Edinburgh 5th April 1940; assistant London Crown Court 1940; ordained as assistant by Presbytery of Synod of England 15th October 1940; service as Chaplain to the Forces in Burma, India, Malaya and Germany 1943-50; inducted Liverpool St Andrew's Rodney Street 7th March 1950; demitted on appointment to regular commission as Chaplain to the Forces 25th August 1953.
