Entry  Went to India as a barrister : established and edited the Mofussilite on the ruins of the Meerut Observer in 1845-6 at Meerut : wrote with great ability and vigour : several novels by him first appeared in the Mofussilite : for a short time in Calcutta, he issued the Optimist : he died at Mussoorie, Aug. 20, 1864.
