Entry  Son of Richard Hutt : born 1809 entered the Artillery in Bombay, 1826 served in Sind and Afghanistan, 1839-44 at Miani and Hyderabad : C.B. : commanded the Artillery in the Persian war, 1857 : did good service in Sind in the mutiny, anticipated and stopped a rising of rebels at Karachi : retired, 1858 : became Registrar and Secretary to the Commissioners of Chelsea Hospital, 1865- 87 : K.C.B., 1886 : died Oct. 27, 1889.
