Baird's re-capture of the Cape, 1805 : served in N. Germany and in the Netherlands, 1813-4 : wounded at Waterloo, 1815 : held commands in Ireland and England : succeeded as Peer, 1829 : Lt-General, 1837: C.B. : K.C.H. : died May 30, 1845.
