Body of text  TEMPLETON, ANDREW, born Glasgow, 3rd February 1882, son of William Pettigrew T and Isabella Fleming; educated at Whitehill School, Dennistoun, and University of Glasgow; MA (1905), BD (1909); licensed by Presbytery of Glasgow; assistant at North Berwick and Galashiels; ordained to Bargeddie 2nd February 1911; translated to Second Charge, Lesmahagow, 26th September 1912; appointed Professor Scottish Churches' College, Madras, 15th April 1913; demitted through ill-health February 1916.
