Body of text  STEVENSON, ROBERT HORNE, born London, 12th June 1860, son of Joseph S, merchant, Glasgow and Australia, and Jane Kirkwood; educated at EC Normal School and University of Glasgow; MA (1884); licensed by Presbytery of Glasgow 9th June 1886 ; assistant at Strachur and St. Stephen's, Glasgow, 1886-9; ordained (by Presbytery of Glasgow) Indian chaplain 13th October 1889; retired 1911 ; died at Dollar, 25th January 1926. His work was mainly at civil stations in the Madras presidency. In 1898 he took part in the Tirah Campaign (medal with clasp and mentioned in despatches). He married 18th May 1909, a daughter of Thomas and Clara Angus, and had issue - Francis Horne, born 5th April 1910.
