His work was mainly at civil stations in the Madras presidency. In 1898 he took part in the Tirah Campaign (medal with clasp and mentioned in despatches). He married 18th May 1909, a daughter of Thomas and Clara Angus, and had issue - Francis Horne, born 5th April 1910. |
