Body of text  RUTLEDGE, JAMES WILLIAM RENWICK, born Simla, 26th August 1896, son of Thomas Charles R and Helen Tweedie Renwick, educated at Hutcheson's Grammar and Queen's Park Schools, and University of Glasgow; MA (1920); licensed by Presbytery of Glasgow 30th April 1924; ordained to Kirkmichael, Perthshire, 28th January 1925; admitted to Indian chaplaincy 15th December 1927. Married 17th February 1925, Elizabeth Brown, daughter of Ralston B Hovell, MJS, and has issue ­ Thomas Charles, born 1st April 1927.
