Married (1) 15th December 1914, Wilhelmina Berwick (died 5th August 1923), daughter of Thomas Ritchie and Catherine Anderson, and has issue -James Anderson Pitcairn and Thomas Hatch Pitcairn (twins), born 26th December 1915: (2) 5th October 1927, Rosamond Annie, MA, daughter of FR Lumsden, schoolmaster, Newburn, Fife.
