Body of text  DAVIES, WILLIAM LEWYS, born Llansadum, Carmarthenshire, 20th December 1872, son of David and Anne D, educated at Carmarthen and Palgorth Schools, and Universities of Wales and Chicago; BD (1918); licensed by Presbytery of London 1899; ordained to Prestatyn 1900; translated to Australia 1906; admitted to UF Church, Saline, Fife, 1917; admitted to chaplaincy at Cawnpore 13th January 1920; afterwards assistant at South Leith; admitted to Sorn 12th March 1925; translated to Auchindoir 1928. Married 1899, Ada, daughter of John and Ann Richards of Langlare, and has issue - John Alan Lewys, bank clerk, born 9th December 1902.
