Register Entry  On Wednesday the 22nd October on board of the Hon'ble East India Company's Steam Frigate Auckland in Bombay Harbour Thomas Luce Esq Midshipman of the Indian Navy aged 19 years most deeply regretted by his brother officers who marked the high esteem his amiable character had attained in his honorable profession by the attendance of all the boats of the Royal and Indian Navies in following his funeral to the shore and in the attendance of the officers of both services and the seamen in following his last remains to the grave
