The data are transcribed from the book compiled by Charles Prinsep published by Truebner & Co in 1885.

Summary of Service  1801: Writer. 1802: Head Assistant to the Collector of Tanjore. 1805: Sub-Collector of Tanjore. 1808: Out of employ; Senior Assistant to the Collector of Tanjore. 1813: Collector and Magistrate of Tinnevelly. 1820: Collector and Magistrate of Tanjore. 1821: Principal Magistrate of Tanjore. 1827: At home on absentee allowance. (Annuitant on the Fund.) 1833: Elected a Director of the East India Company, 30th April. 1842: Deputy Chairman of the Court of Directors. 1843: Chairman of the Court of Directors. 1845: Went out of the Direction by Rotation. Died, 16th July 1860, in England.
