He went to India about the year 1753, and after many vicissitudes returned to Europe about 15 years ago. After which, he married a lady of the island of Jersey, whom he has left with two children, a son and daughter. He was a native of Ireland, and of a good family. He was a good officer, and a man of strict honour and probity. |
