Inscription  was accidentally drowned in Talien Whan Bay in the North of China. 4 years Indian Service included the Persian War 1856, 57 and the Campaign of 1857-58 in Central India. His untimely death at the outset of another campaign caused deep grief to all who knew him. Tablet erected by his Brother Officers as a mark of their love for his memory
