Service  Surgeon-Major Wethered served during the Sutlej Campaign of 45, 46, in charge of the European Depot Hospital at Ferozepore. Served during the Sikh Campaign of 48, 49, in Medical Charge of 58th Native Infantry, which formed part of Sir Dudley Hills Reserve Force. Served as Principal Medical Officer with the Force under Command of Sir Hope Grant, when it crossed the Gogra, on 25th November 58, till it was broken up. Served with the Force under Brigadier Holditch, at the foot of the Nepal Hills, 58, 59, and 60. Present in the actions of Muchligaon and Bunkussia, Trans-Gogra, Oude. Mutiny Medal.
