Service  Lieutenant Ward served as Assistant Field Engineer in 57, 58, and 59, with the following Forces:â��With the Force under Sir A Wilson on the Hindun, Badlee-ka-Serai, and throughout the siege of Delhi. Mentioned as attached to Reserve at the assault of the City, in the Chief Engineers Despatch. Served with Colonels Riddell and Cottons Columns in the Agra District, and at the taking of Futtehpore-Sikree; with Sir J. Outrams Force at Alum Bagh, and at the siege and capture of Lucknow; with Sir R. Walpoles Force at Rooya, Ally gunge, and Bareilly; with Lord Clydes Force at Pertabghur and Ameatie; with Sir H. Grants Force at the passage of the Gogra, at Fyzahad; with Colonel Rowcrofts Force in the Goruckpore District, and at Toolseepore. Medal and, 2 Clasps.
