Service  Lieutenant-Colonel Warburton served in Afghanistan in 39, 40,41, and 42: present at the assault and capture of Ghuznee. Medal. Delivered over in December 41 as a hostage to Nawab Mahomed Zuman Khan, by whom he was transferred, in July 42, into the charge of Mahomed Akbar. With the Army of Gwalior at the battle of Maharajpore. Bronze Star.
