Service  Lieutenant-Colonel Edwardes, C.B., served as A. D. C. to His Excellency the Commander-in- Chief during the Campaign on the Sutlej, including the actions of Moodkee (severely wounded,), and Sobraon. Medal and Clasp. Commanded an Irregular Force raised by himself on the Indus, with which, in conjunction with the Troops of the Nawab of Bhawulpore, he twice defeated the Army of Dewan Moolraj, at Kineyree, on the 18th June, and Suddoosam, 1st July 48, taking ten guns. Medal, C.B., and Local Major. Served throughout the siege and operations in the vicinity of Mooltan. Medal and Clasps.
