Served throughout the Sonthal Insurrection, 55. Received the thanks of Brigadier Bird for the capture of one of the Chief Rebel Leaders, Rarn Manjee. Present at the outbreak at Benares in 57, and in the engagement there with the rebels. Served with the Goorkha Force under Colonel Wroughton in Goruckpore and Azimghur Districts. Served with the Field Force under Colonel Whistler, in 57, against the rebels in the Suraon District, near Allahabad. Medal. |
