Medal and Clasp. Present when the 15th Native Infantry treacherously fired on their Officers, 28th May 1857. Volunteered to return to Cantonments at Nusseerabad that day in search of Captain Fenwick of the 30th Native Infantry, who was reported missing. Escaped alone afterwards to Beawur. Served throughout the siege of Lucknow in March 58. Medal and Clasp. (Passed Examination in Burmese.) |
