Commanded the 30th Regiment throughout the Punjab Campaign including the actions of Sadoolapore, Chillianwallah, and Goojerat, and subsequent pursuit of the Sikhs and Affghans to Peshawur, under General Gilbert. Medal and Brevet-Lieutenant- Colonel.
