Served throughout the Mutiny in Bengal in 57, in the Punjab, and in the latter part of 58, in Central India. Accompanied the 2nd Brigade Saugor Field Force and various Flying Columns in the capacity of Assistant Commissioner during its operations, Jaloun District, and acted on the Staff of the Brigadier Commanding. Medal.
