Medal and 2 Clasps. On the mutiny of the Joudpore Legion, of which Lieutenant Conolly was Adjutant, he was the only Officer present at Erinpoorah, in Command of two 9-pounder guns, Cavalry and Infantry. He was taken prisoner at the parade ground by the Legion Cavalry, whilst endeavoring to quell the disturbance; was kept six days a prisoner by the mutineers, and several times his life was attempted; he was released on the sixth day by the courage of a few of the mutineers. Served at the taking of Roena, a fortified village in Rajpootanah, under Colonel Baines, C.B, Was frequently employed in pursuits after rebels; once in Command of a Squadron of Sikh Horse, with the political Agent of Marmen, after the Nuggur Parkur Takoor, on the borders of Sindh. |
