Service  Captain Clark served throughout the Punjab Campaign of 48, 49. Present at Ramnuggur, passage of the Chenab, battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat, and subsequent pursuit of the Sikhs andAfghans by the Force under General Sir W. R. Gilbert. Medal and 2 Clays. Served in Burmah in 53. Medal and Clasp. Served in India during the Mutiny, 57. Present with the 88th Connaught Rangers, in the defence of the Town and Cantonments of Cawnpore, under Command of General Windham, wounded dangerously, when showing (by order of General Windham) Brigadier Carthew the way into Cantonments, on the 27th November 57. Medal.
