Service  Assistant-Surgeon Christison served with the Field Hospital at the taking of Rangoon, in April 52; and relief of Pegu, in December 52. With the 4th Sikh Local Infantry in the operations after the relief of Pegu. Advance to Prome, and expedition under Sir J. Cheape to Donabew, in 53, till the close of the War. Medal. With the Gwalior Cavalry from May 15th to July 2nd 57, against the rebels on the Trunk Road above Agra. At the battle with the Nusseerabad Mutineers at Sussia, near Agra, on the 5th July 57. With Meades Horse after the taking of Gwalior by Sir H. Rose: in the pursuit and defeat of the enemy by Sir R. Napier. Medal and Clasp.
