Service  Lieutenant C. P. Chambers served throughout the Indian Mutiny with the 3rd Europeans. Present at the action near Agra,. against the Indore and Mhow Mutineers, on the 16th October 57, also with the Force under Brigadier Sir T. Seaton, at the actions of Gungeeree and Puttiallee, in December 57. Present also with the Mynpooree Moveable Column in the operations at Shereghur Ghaut, in May 58, and with the Agra Column towards Gwalior, in June 58. Medal.
