Medals and 3 Clasps. "Dr. Henry Cannon was attached to, and in Medical Charge of, the Head Quarters Staff during the Campaign of 1848-49. He maintained that high professional character for which I selected Him for the appointment, and obtained the confidence and esteem of all composing my Staff.� (Sd.) Gough, General." Received the thanks of the Supreme and Local Governments for services in Rohilcund and North-Western Provinces, during the Mutinies of 1857-58. Medal. Was recommended for Brevet rank, but obtaining his full Surgeoncy, he could obtain no Brevet promotion. Repeatedly thanked for good and efficient services, and distinguished on various occasions with parties acting against the mutineers of 1857-58. |
