Served as a Volunteer with Her Majestys 78th Highlanders; accompanied the Force under Colonel Napier that went out to the Mootee Munzil, to bring in the sick, wounded, heavy guns, and ammunition left behind by the relieving Force under Sir J. Outram; was sent in to report to Sir J. Outram, at night, that more doolies were required for the sick and wounded. Served at the recapture of Cawnpore. Lucknow defence. Medal and Clasp. |
