Service  Colonel Campbell, served at the action of Maharajpore. Bronze Star. Served as Brigade Major to the 2nd Brigade of Cavalry at the battle of Alliwal, and volunteered and served as A. D. C. to Major-General Dick at the battle of Sobraon. Charger shot under him. Medal, Clasp, and Brevet-Major. When the 1st Light Cavalry charged into the enemys entrenched camp, Colonel Campbell cut down a standard bearer, and captured his standard; he also captured a European Sikh Officer of Artillery on the same occasion.
