CommentIndex of names from 'A Hand Book to St Mary's Church, Fort St. George, Madras', written by the Rev. Charles Herbert Malden, Canon of St George's Cathedral, Madras and Garrison Chaplain, 1893-4 and 1901-6. The transcription is of The Old Tombstones | Outside St Mary's Church. The other memorials recorded in the book are of those inside the church.

The book contains a useful checklist (as at 1905) of the church's registers from 1680.

The book is in the library of the East India Club in St James's Square, London SW1Y 4LH.

Inscription  In memory of JOHN and DEBRAH BRAYBURN, son and daughter of John Braybourne, Esq. deceased; who died infants, Debrah on ye 15th May 1708 and John on ye 13th May 1710, both in the fourth year of their age.    
Comment by Rev. Charles Herbert Malden  Two children of John Braybourn, Commodore of Anjengo, afterwards provisional Governor of Madras.
