[Fatal Accident from the Bite of a Sea-Snake - A melancholy accident occurred on board the Algerine, off Madras, October 10th. It appears that a sea-snake, the bite of which has generally been considered innocuous, had been hauled on board with a boat-hook, and deposited in a bucket, in which act, or in that of attempting to take it up, a marine received a bite in the hand. The unfortunate man was seized with vomiting shortly after, and in two hours became a corpse. - Vol I, No III, March 1838] | | Edition Year | 1838 | | Edition Date | Vol I, No II, February 1838 |
