Entry  MARRIOTT � Death of Lieutenant W Marriott � (From the Madras Herald, June 27th). We notice with regret the death of Lieutenant W Marriott, of the 6th Light Cavalry, which took place on Saturday last at the Club House: the operation of puncturing the liver was performed a few days previous, but the unfortunate gentleman had not strength enough to survive its effect. Lieutenant Marriott, we are informed, was the son of Major General Thomas Marriott of this establishment, and had taken his passage to England in the Duke of Northumberland.
