Entry  HAINES � From the Madras United Service Gazette (March 24) � We regret to announce the death of William Haines, Esq., Superintending Surgeon of the Mysore Division, which melancholy event took place after a few days' illness at Bangalore on the evening of the 20th instant. Mr Haines is much regretted, and he was highly respected and esteemed by all ranks at the station.
