He was Magistrate of the District Court of Negombo in this Island, and on the evening of the 29th August,1847, was assassinated in the 32nd year of his age, leaving a widow, who four months afterwards gave birth to a son.... Also Frederick Lacy Dick, son of the above, born 8th January, 1848, and died at Colombo 21st March in the same year.
