Detail  [Pages 540-541. At his residence, Westthorpe house, Little Marlow, aged 92. He and his brother Admiral Sir Charles Edmund Nugent (died 1844) were the reputed sons of the Hon. Edmund Nugent, Lieut.-col. 1st Regiment of Foot Guards, only son of Robert Viscount Clare, afterwards Earl Nugent, by his 2nd wife Anne Craggs. Born 10 June 1757. Ensign 1773 39th Foot. In July 1811 he embarked for India as commander in chief, returned to England in June 1815]
