This distinguished soldier expired in the 43rd year of his age, deeply lamented. Lieutenant Colonel Skinner obtained this late rank, as well as the Millitary order of the Bath, for his services during the late campaign in Afghanistan, and there contracted the disease which has carried him off thus prematurely.
