The data are transcribed from the book compiled by Charles Prinsep published by Truebner & Co in 1885.

Summary of Service  1847: Writer. 1849: Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Salem. 1851: Acting Head Assistant at Salem. 1852: Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Masulipatam; On medical leave to Europe. 1855: Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Chingleput; afterwards Acting Head Assistant at Trichinopoly; then Head Assistant at Malabar; and Acting Sub-Judge, Mangalore. 1856: Head Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Chingleput. 1857: Assistant Judge, afterwards Acting Civil and Sessions Judge, Mangalore. 1858: Acting Sub-Judge, Bellary. 1859: Senior Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, and Agent to the Governor of Fort St. George, in Ganjam; Acting Civil and Sessions Judge, Nunydal. 1860: Officiating Civil and Sessions Judge, Bellary; Proceeded on furlough to Europe for 3 years. 1864: Acting Civil and Sessions Judge, Rajahmundry. 1865: Civil and Session Judge, Rajahmundry. 1866: Civil and Sessions Judge, Bellary; Officiating Judicial Commissioner, Mysore. 1870: Acting Judge of the High Court of Judicature, Madras; Officiating Judicial Commissioner, Mysore; Resumed Acting Judge of the High Court, Madras. 1877: Appointed Judge of the High Court, Madras; Fellow of the Madras University. 1878: On furlough to Europe for 15 months. 1879: Resumed Judge of the High Court, Madras. 1884: Retired from service, 6th January. (Anniutant on the fund.)
