The data are transcribed from the book compiled by Charles Prinsep published by Truebner & Co in 1885.

Summary of Service  1844: Writer. 1846: Under the Principal Collector, Coimbatore; afterwards Assistant to Collector and Magistrate, Tanjore. 1848: On furlough to Europe. 1851: Assistant to the Collector of Land Customs, Madras. 1852: Head Assistant to the Register to the Court of Sudder and Foujdarry Adawlut. 1853: Acting Deputy Register to the aforesaid Court. 1854: Deputy Commissioner to the Second Class , Nagpore Commission. 1858: On medical leave to Europe for 21 months. 1860: Officiating Collector and Magistrate, Chingleput; afterwards Sub-Collector, Madras, and Joint Magistrate, Chingelput; Made a C.B., 19th May; Special Commissoner for the Assessment of Income-Tax. 1862: Acting Superintendent of Stamps; Acting Secretary to Government in Chief Secretary's Departments; Member and Commissioner for the Assessement of Income-Tax; Services placed temporarily at the Disposal of the Government of India; Additional Member of Governor-General's Council for Making Laws and Regulations. 1863: Acting Collector and Magistrate , afterwards Collector and Magistrate, Madras District; on Special Duty as Member of Government-General's Council. 1864: President of the Sanitary Commission. 1865: On special leave to Europe for 12 months. 1867: Chief Secretary to Government. 1869: Officiating Member of Council. 1872: Appointed Member of Council. 1873: On furlough to Europe for 12 months. 1875: Member of Council. 1877: Retired from service, 12th March; Appointed Member of Council of the Secretary of State for India; Died, 9th October1877, in London.
