Married 17th November 1945, Elizabeth Archibald, born 19th May 1921, and has issue, Gordon Stewart, born 5th April 1949; Helen Margaret, born 12th February 1951; Fiona Elizabeth, born 2nd October 1952; James Douglas, born 24th December 1952.
